Driveshaft Specialist offers Complete New Driveshafts for Sprinter products that are far better than the original driveshafts that were installed on the vehicles.

The OE shafts have a staked in non-replaceable universal joint.  This means that if one U-Joint fails on the Sprinter driveshaft the dealer wants to sell you a complete new driveshaft, the same one that has another non-replaceable U-Joint.

We offer brand new complete driveshafts that have a larger, stronger field replaceable standard 1350 series U-Joints.  We use a Spicer XL U-Joint which is the best U-Joint available, but you can get the 1350 series U-Joint at any auto parts store.

No modifications of any kind required.

 

This is the Spicer XL U-Joint.  This is a cold forged HD maintenance free Universal Joint that has a typical lifespan well in excess of 100,000 miles.  200,000+ is not uncommon.
Spicer 1350 Series U- Joint is $25.90 each  (Note - This U-Joint will only fit our new design driveshaft.  The OE U-Joint is not replaceable and this will NOT fit an OE driveshaft.

New Bearing is  $65.61  This is for use with our new rebuildable driveshaft ONLY.  It will not fit an OE shaft.

Total Parts cost for total rebuild with our Driveshaft:
$143.31 for 3 U-Joints and 1 carrier bearing
$234.82 for 4 U-Joints and 2 carrier bearings.

How about that for a great savings on a long term basis!

 

Parts Quality and Maintenance Warning

You can buy the 1350 U-Joints at any parts store (not the Spicer XL) but we STRONGLY suggest you do not buy some cheapo Chinese U-Joint that the Parts Stores carry because they are CHEAP!.  Please ask for a USA made U-Joint.  The Parts Store (USA) Joints are OK but not near the quality of the Spicer XL.  You will need to grease them often, like every 6-10,000 miles.  If you don't they will fail in less than 20k miles.  The Spicer XL is on average $6-10 bucks more than a Parts Store joint but it will usually outlast them by 5 times at a minimum.
